I like to keep a relaxed and friendly learning environment, and if you have a problem I’m really approachable, so just let me know as soon as you can, and we will work out a solution that suits us both.

Just a few ground rules, all businesses need them! And the following terms and conditions apply to lessons given by Jane Foster:

I will always be punctual, courteous and polite, behaving in an ethical and professional manner at all times. Following the guidelines set out in the Driving Instructor Code of Practice 

My car, will be well maintained, fully insured and fitted with dual controls. Roadworthy at all time.

The Learner must be 17 or over and hold a current and valid provisional driving licence, which must be seen by me on the first lesson.

The learner must also, by law, allow me to check the validity of their licence.

The learner must also be able to meet current legal eyesight requirements, which is to be able to read a number plate from 20m away.

The learner must inform me by text by Saturday of their availability for the week ahead. I will then complete my diary Sunday, for that week, then inform the learner by text of their mutually convenient time. Although in most Acases the lesson day and time will remain the same each week. 

When making an initial booking the learner must pay a deposit of the equivalent of a one hour lesson, so that I can hold the space.

Lessons need to be paid for by bank transfer, at least 48 hours prior to the time of the lesson. No credit will be given. 

The learner must give 48 hours notice to cancel a booked lesson. Or payment must be made in full.

I may need to postpone lessons due to weather or traffic conditions if this happens I will reschedule the lesson at a mutually convenient time, at no extra charge 

The learner must be fit to drive, they must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

The learner must wear appropriate shoes and clothing, if headwear is worn it must be fixed not to cause distraction. 

If the learner is late for a lesson, I will wait 10 minutes past the lesson time and then leave. the lesson will be paid for in full. 

The learner will book their driving test, only after I have given permission to do so at a mutually convenient time. You must use my ADI Number 324803, failure to do may result in the test being cancelled if I am double booked.

Due to long booking wait times the learner may book a test, that when the time comes they are not driving at a standard required to take a test. If you do not reach the required level of driving competency by the test date I reserve the right, in the interest of public safety, to decline the use of my vehicle for the test at that time.
